K1 Nova is a small web design and local SEO studio based in London, Ontario. We build websites for businesses that need to look credible online and be easy to find, without having to learn the technical side of it.
Why we exist
The gap we kept running into
A lot of good local businesses have a website problem they have been putting off. Either there is no site at all, or there is one that was built years ago and nobody has touched since. The owner knows it needs fixing. They also have a business to run.
The options tend to be a large agency that quotes five figures and takes three months, or a cheap template that looks like every other cheap template. Neither one is what a plumber in London with six good reviews and no website actually needs.
K1 Nova sits in the middle. Professional enough to represent a real business properly, affordable enough for a small one, and simple enough that you never have to learn what a nameserver is.

You talk to the person building it
There is no account manager passing messages along. The person you email is the person doing the work, which is why answers come back quickly and nothing gets lost in translation.
Plain explanations
Domains, hosting, DNS, indexing and SSL all sound more complicated than they are. We will explain what each one does in your project and why it matters, without making you feel like you should already know.
A price before we start
You get a written quote up front. If something changes mid project, we tell you what it costs before we do it, not after.
You approve before it goes live
Nothing launches until you have seen it and told us it is right. The review stage exists so you can change your mind.
Local knowledge
We are based in London and most of our clients are within an hour of here. We know the area you are trying to reach.
We do not oversell
If a smaller job would fix your problem, we will tell you. If we think what you are asking for will not work, we will say that too.
Being small
We are not pretending to be a big agency
K1 Nova is a small operation, and that is deliberate. It means fewer projects at once, faster replies, and no layers between you and the person writing the code. It also means we are honest about capacity. If we cannot hit a deadline you need, we will tell you before you commit rather than after.
